State ID Card:

A California State Medical Marijuana Identification Card (MMC) can be issued to receive tax exemption from medicinal cannabis purchases for State Sales & Use Tax and in most jurisdictions a city or county tax (if imposed). This MMC card is issued by your local County Health Department and a fee is involved. On average, if you spend more than $25/week on cannabis products, you should apply.

Qualifying for state id card:

You must have a valid physician’s recommendation for cannabis use. You can obtain a valid county-issued Medical Marijuana Identification Card (MMC) if you have one or more of the following medical conditions:

  • Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)
  • Anorexia
  • Arthritis
  • Cachexia
  • Cancer
  • Chronic Pain
  • Glaucoma
  • Migraine
  • Severe Nausea
  • Persistent muscle spasms, including but not limited to: spasms associated with Multiple Sclerosis and seizures including Epilepsy.
  • Any other chronic or persistent medical symptoms that either:
    • Substantially limit your ability to conduct one or more major life activities as defined in the federal Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Public Law 101-336)
    • May cause serious harm to your safety or physical or mental health if not alleviated
  • In California, your doctor can determine the medical conditions that cannabis may alleviate and improve.

Please Remember: The California State Card is NOT your medical recommendation. Please bring both your State ID Card (MMC) and valid physician’s recommendation with you.

Safety & Storage

Warning

Certain products that are sold at our dispensary, can expose you to chemicals including cannabis smoke and Beta-Myrcene, which is known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information, go to P65Warnings.ca.gov. Talk with your healthcare provider about smoking cannabis.

Protect Children & Animals

Keep cannabis safely away from children and animals. Cannabis affects children and young people more strongly than adults and is at a higher risk of poisoning. If you think a child may have ingested cannabis, call the local poison control center at 800-222-1222. Avoid giving cannabis to your pets without consulting with your veterinarian first.

Start Low and Go Slow

Cannabis, cannabis products, and cannabis edibles have changed over the past few decades and now contain higher amounts of THC, the active ingredient in cannabis. This will result in stronger effects and can impair judgment.

Storing Cannabis

All cannabis products and flower should be stored in a locked area. Make sure children cannot see or reach it. KEEP cannabis in the child-resistant packaging from the store.

Instructions

Before use, read cannabis products label and instructions and be aware of serving amounts. If you are a medical patient, speak with your doctor about dosages.

Cannabis Accouterments

Lock all cannabis accessories safely away and out of sight of children.

Our Commitment

Mercy Wellness™ is a licensed medicinal and adult-use retail cannabis dispensary committed to providing cannabis education and safe access to the finest cannabis products available. Having been part of the forward-looking City of Cotati for over a decade, we see our customers as our neighbors and serve them with integrity, respect, and the utmost care. Locally owned and operated, we support local farmers to bring a unique farm to sale experience. We are active in our community and support it as volunteers and through donations. Our executive director also serves on several boards and advisory committees.

As the first dispensary in Sonoma County on January 1, 2018 to begin Adult-Use recreational sales, we operate in strict compliance with all local and state laws and are licensed by California’s Bureau of Cannabis Control for Retail Sales and Distribution. Mercy Wellness is truly dedicated to providing exceptional service and products and operating safely and securely with minimal neighborhood impact.

Mercy Love is exactly what we strive to convey and what we hope is mutual, yet it can feel awkward and maybe a bit disingenuous for a business to talk in those terms. After all, exchanging money for a product is transactional and lacks sentimentality. Unless, of course, there’s more to it than meets the eye. Mercy Love is the experience; an expression of what we feel for you, our suppliers, and our staff. Thanks for giving us a chance to serve you.

Let’s start with how we select the products we know you’ll love. We watch what you buy and what you ask for. We ask you to respond to surveys, and we listen when you talk about what you like. Our buyers research and explore the market to find essential products at the lowest everyday prices to keep you stocked. Then they look for the truly exceptional items that will blow you away—the stuff other retailers can’t offer you.
