Review: Mercy Wellness

Dope Staff July 14, 2016

The People:

Mercy Wellness has provided quality medical cannabis, with top-notch service for six years as the first licensed dispensary north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Brandon Levine and his team have worked closely with the city of Cotati to amend local laws. “We do not sell marijuana,” Levine declared, “We sell customer service.” Management holds regular training meetings with one goal in mind: If someone arrives in a bad mood, make sure they leave in a good mood! Personalized service, a helpful patient handbook, and private consults are a few of the amenities offered to patients. Ready for everything, the staff also features Dustin Gardner, a sign language translator that assists hearing impaired patients.

The Place:

Before Mercy, the Sonoma County-based Gravenstein Retail Center was left vacant. Since their arrival, other businesses have opened and the majority of the center is now rented out. Its tenants include retail shops, office space, and a new brewery soon to open. The suite Mercy occupies was recently renovated with hardwood floors, slate walls, and five flat screens featuring product highlights. Within the dispensing area, meds are cleverly presented in wall cases: one for indica-dominant flowers, one for sativa-dominant flowers, one for concentrates, and one for edibles. Mercy provides an excellent blend of professional and family vibes.

The Product: Online Menu

Mercy stocks a minimum of 50 strains with donations set between $20.00 and $50.00 per eighth, plus tax. Top shelf strains tested by SC Labs include breakthroughs like Animal Cookies and Purple Candy, as well as tried and true favorites like Girl Scout Cookies and Candyland. Over 20 brands of edibles populate their displays, including, Korova, Sensi Chew, Giggle Therapeutics, and Care by Design. They stock tinctures by Pure Expressions and Professor Snooks alongside topicals by Golden Leaf, Arnicann, and more. Their huge selection of concentrates is priced at $20.00–$40.00 donations per gram. Brands include STAMP Concentrate, Treometry, and Esoteric Extracts to name a few.
